S.O.S. Ukraine is an all volunteer group, thus we direct funds and resources exactly where they are needed - the poor in Ukraine.
Three groups have been helped:
1.The Malyako Orphanage in Chernitvsi and other orphanages in that region.
2. Elementary schools (in Zastavna, Podillia, Nahiryane).
The majority of our help now goes to this third group - to directly help families, individuals, single mothers and their children - with food, water, clothing, medicines and medical needs (surgeries, doctor's fees, hospitalization, lab tests) and basic housing:
3. Individuals and families whose combined household income is below $400.00 per month living in numerous cities, towns and villages (see post on Where your Donations Go).
We have a trusted volunteer agent in Ukraine who delivers goods to orphanages and schools and disburses funds to projects that we vet.
The shipping company Meest has delivered every box without loss or damage for over a decade.
Anyone living in poverty in Western Ukraine can approach us for assistance.
