Millions in Great Need

The following is copied and pasted from an email that SOS Ukraine received from a Canadian who is currently visiting Ukraine (She is originally from Ukraine, and is there to see elderly parents).  She seeks aid for these people. Her descriptions fit millions there.
1) A lady who went into a car incident (accident) with her husband and he was killed. She has survived but has a need in an expensive treatment. I talked to her doctor today - he said it would be about 3000 US. Her
husband didn't survive a car accident and now she is by herself. In Ukraine we don't have a medical insurance and we pay from our own pocket for medical expenses.

2) A mother with 3 kids and one old grand mom whose husband left her alone and disappeared, he doesn't help her for last 1 year. She applied for financial support from him but the police/judge system
can't find him to collect money from. They live in 1 room all together and grand mom in the corridor. The apartment needs a renovation because all wall cracks and halls are getting more and more dangerous from one day to another.  Also it is cold for kids there. A mother who is Svitlana was working and at least was able to earn money for food and clothes for kids. But because her daughter Jessica was sick she got a lay off. Now she can't find any job' opportunities and went into depression. I am helping her periodically but can't do much. She needs a financial support to survive with kids during job search time + to make a light renovation in her small apartment. Her grandmom needs medicine and vitamins. Kids have no table to do a home work. (btw – SOS Ukraine just sent $ to help them with food and utilities for a two month period, but we need more donations to help them and so many more)

3) A lady of 16 years old who is pregnant and lives by herself.  A father of a baby doesn't support her pregnancy but she decided to have this baby. Her due date is in May. We try to find a baby carriage+

baby's clothes + some money for baby's food.

(SOS Ukraine is collecting baby clothes for her, kid’s clothes for Svitlana above, and baby clothes for two other families we have been told of)(As you know, shipping is very costly)

Many are requesting assistance to buy food, prescriptions and to pay for medical bills. We receive receipts and this is administered through an agent on the ground.  There is no other program that directly reaches individuals, one by one. Prices have skyrocketed, salaries are slashed and social programs are being terminated due to the country's bankruptcy. The government has told the people they must shoulder the burden caused by the billions stolen by their former President.
