FAMILIES NEED WELLS

This good, hard working family - with no well - recently received one of their own. They send their HUGE thanks.
Prior to this, they had to hike quite a distance to obtain water from another person's well. You would never know by visiting their meticulously well kept home. We were able to pay for the entire construction of a new well on their property.

A project like this does not cost much, less than $2,000. - ask us how you can help with the next family who needs water!

This family lives in a tiny, poor village - see photos below. There is little work. They have struggled with on and off unemployment. The daughter has a university degree, but like many young university grads in Ukraine, had a very difficult time finding any employment.New grads who do find jobs earn less than $100 a month full time.

One of the great side benefits of our efforts is that not only have we helped this family, but many others who received some gainful employment by working on the building of the new well, thus stimulating the local economy.

In some cases, talented and able recipients can provide their own labor. (see blog post called Own Labor)

(by the way, those are my suitcases on the road)

Photos of the village (Diriniwka, close to Ternopil). The village has many good families
who still revere God despite their great hardships:
